Shahi Tukda Recipe

Ingredients for Shahi Tukda Recipe

500 ml Milk Ghee for Frying

4 Slices Of Bread

3 Tbsp Milk Powder

1 Tbsp Sugar

Few Drops of Rose Water

A Pinch of Saffron Infused In Water

Assorted Dry Fruits

1/3rd Cup Water

5 Tbsp Sugar

2 Green Cardamoms

Steps for Shahi Tukda Recipe

1. For Rabdi- In a pan Heat 500ml milk and keep stirring until it reduces to half of the original quantity. When the cream starts forming on the milk and sticks to the sides, gently scrape it from the edge and mix in the milk.

2. Meanwhile we have kept ghee for heating. Cut the bread slices in two parts. Once the ghee is heated we will put bread slices for fry on medium flame. When one side turns Golden Brown, flip and fry the other side.

3. Drain the fried bread slices on paper napkins to remove the excess oil.

4. Once the milk is reduce add Milk Powder (help the consistency to become thick fast), Sugar, Few Drops of Rose Water (optional) and A Pinch of Saffron Infused in Water. Keep stirring until sugar completely melts.

5. Add 1Tbsp Assorted Dry Fruits in it and stir for a while. The consistency of Rabdi shall be neither too thick nor watery.

6. For Sugar Syrup-In a pan take 1/3rd Cup Water and 1/3rd cup Sugar keep stirring until sugar melts. Add Green Cardamoms and let it cook for 3-4 minutes. The consistency of the syrup has to be thick (one thread consistency).

7. Now deep the fried bread slice in sugar syrup (keep in mind that sugar syrup need to be slightly hot). Keep the bread slices in syrup 3-4 minutes so that the bread properly absorbs the sugar syrup.

8. Place the bread slices on the plate and pour the Rabdi on it.

9. Garnish it with assorted dry fruits and enjoy delicious Shahi Tukda.
